Dodge Roll and Parry
In this game the best offense is a good defense and you should make learning how to roll away from enemy attacks one of your priorities. Although more difficult to master Parrying should also be learned so you can take down foes easier by landing a parry and then utilising a powerful attack that will deal massive amounts of damage.
New Player Build
An effective basic build you may want to consider if you are new to the game is to focus on upgrading the Strength and Endurance categories. Focussing on these two stats will help boost your attack and equipment load thus enabling you to move more quickly and deal out more damage.
Picking Player Class
If you are a new player learning the ins-and-outs of how combat mechanics work it is advised that you select the Paladin, Knight, or Cleric classes and keep relatively in-line with the skills that each of those classes specialises in as you level up.
Unlimited bags of salt use
Put the Bag of salt item of choice on your quick use item and select it but don't use it. Open up your menu and go to your end game option select end game and before the screen fades to black you have a second or so to do anything before the main menu pop's up use the item and you'll be granted the salt it awards and upon loading the character back up you'll have the gained salt and still have the bag item. This also works if you decide to make a new character and have a far progressed character simply log on the character with the high level salt item and perform the glitch and instead of loading up that character load up your new one to be granted the salt on that character instead.
Upgrading
Avoid trying to keep all your base stats relatively close together when upgrading. It is more benficial if you instead choose two or three stats and continually boost them whenever possible. If you spread your upgrade points across too many skills your character will lack anything that is useful.
Weapons
During the course of your journey you will be picking up various different weapons. Instead of using them all equally it is advised that you find one or two that you particularly like and stick with them. This is because when you begin upgrading them it is more beneficial to you to pour all of your resources into one single weapon and buff it to it's maximum capabilities rather than spreading your resources across too many different weapons.
